The Gospel
God is perfectly holy, righteous, and just. He created us to know Him and live in fellowship with Him. Yet every one of us has sinned against Him and fallen short of His glory. Because of our sin, nothing we do can make us righteous or restore our relationship with Him.
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—
Romans 5:12
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 3:23
But God, in His great love and mercy, did what we could never do for ourselves.
He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who became fully man while remaining fully God. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, He took on our humanity and entered the world as one of us, yet without sin. As the promised offspring of the woman (Genesis 3:15), He came as the Saviour God had promised. He lived the perfect, sinless life that we have failed to live, fulfilling God’s law in perfect obedience.
Then He willingly gave Himself to death on the cross, bearing the punishment our sins deserved, so that we might be forgiven and reconciled to the God from whom our sin had separated us.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
2 Corinthians 5:21
But death on the cross was not the end.
On the third day, Jesus rose bodily from the dead, triumphing over sin and death. God the Father exalted Him and gave Him the name above every name. Jesus Christ alone is Lord and the only Saviour.
Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name… that every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9-11
Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Acts 4:12
This is the greatest demonstration of God’s love toward mankind.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
God now calls every person to turn from sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We are saved not by our own effort, goodness, religious works, or even by saying the right words, but by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
When a person places their faith in Jesus Christ, God forgives their sins, declares them righteous because of Christ, gives them new life by His Spirit, and adopts them into His family. Jesus described this new life as being “born again.”
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Good works do not earn our salvation; they are the fruit of the new life God graciously gives His children.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10
If you have never placed your faith in Jesus Christ, you can come to Him today. Salvation is found in Him.
All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.
John 6:37
Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
John 1:29
The invitation is simple: come to Christ in faith, trusting in who He is and what He has done.
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9
For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
